Escalator woes?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

I spent three glorious days exploring the Mid-Levels, mostly using those iconic escalators. What a system! But on my last day, I got completely lost trying to find the exit near the bottom. The sig… more

Yeah, the Central-Mid-Levels escalator system is awesome... until it isn't. The signage is, as you said, a joke. I've lived here for years and still occasionally get turned around down there. My advice? Use Google Maps – it's actually pretty good at navigating that specific network, even showing the escalators themselves. Failing that, just keep an eye out for major streets; once you hit one, it’s usually easy to orient yourself. Don't rely on the on-site signs, though. They're practically useless.

Seriously? Google Maps actually works that well there? I've always just kinda winged it and ended up somewhere completely unexpected. Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely try that next time. Sounds like a life-saver, considering how easily you can get lost in that maze of moving stairs.

St. Joseph's School Mystery

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong and I'm fascinated by the history of St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School. My great-aunt went there, ages ago, and all she ever talks about are these crazy s… more

That's a fantastic story! A tiger?! Wow. Unfortunately, finding records of old school plays from decades ago might be tricky. Schools often don't have extensive archives, especially for things like theatrical productions. Your best bet would probably be contacting the school directly – they might have some old yearbooks or alumni records. Failing that, you could try searching online for local Hong Kong historical societies or archives; they sometimes hold materials donated by former students or staff. It's a long shot, but worth a try! Good luck with your search; I hope you find something amazing.

Wow, thanks! Yeah, the tiger was the craziest part. I hadn't thought about contacting alumni... that's a great idea. I'll definitely give St. Joseph's a call and see what they have. Hong Kong historical societies... hmm, hadn't considered that either. This whole thing feels like a wild goose chase, but I'm determined to find something! Appreciate the tips.
