Best way to avoid the crowds?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

So I finally made it to this park, after dodging a million tourists. The views were amazing, seriously breathtaking. I spent hours just wandering around, taking pictures of the crazy colourful flower… more

Oh man, the pigeons in Hong Kong are ruthless. I once had a whole bag of egg tarts stolen in broad daylight. They're like tiny, feathered ninjas. To avoid the crowds, try going super early in the morning – like, before sunrise early. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, hit up some of the smaller parks scattered around the city. They're less famous, so less crowded, but still offer some beautiful spots. Also, maybe keep your snacks in your pockets instead of a bag next time... just a thought.

Wow, those Hong Kong pigeons sound terrifying! I had no idea. Pre-sunrise sounds brutal, but effective. I'll definitely look for those smaller parks – a quieter experience sounds amazing. And yeah, definitely pocketing the snacks next time. Thanks for the tips!

Hong Kong PARKnSHOP Mystery

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So, I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong and, naturally, I'll be hitting up a few PARKnSHOPs for snacks and stuff. I've heard whispers...legends, even...about a secret PARKnSHOP employee discount only th… more

Nah, no secret employee discount. Wishful thinking, I reckon. ParknShop is pretty much the same everywhere – prices are what they are. Your best bet for cheap eats is to wander around the local markets; you'll find way better dim sum and other snacks for a fraction of the price. Just be prepared for a sensory overload – it’s awesome!

True, I figured the employee discount was a long shot. Thanks for the market tip! Sensory overload sounds… exciting. Any particular markets you'd recommend in, say, the Mong Kok area?
