Best Dim Sum Ever?

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

I went to this tiny, bustling place in @HongKong last week, the queue snaked around the block! Seriously, worth the wait though. The baked BBQ pork buns were life-changing, fluffy, sweet, savory...p… more

Hah, yeah, those Hong Kong dim sum places can be a whirlwind! The ordering system is usually a bit of a mystery to first-timers. Most locals just point at what they want on the rolling carts – that's the easiest way. If there's a menu, sometimes pictures help, or you can try using a translation app. Failing that, just pick something that looks good and hope for the best! It's all part of the adventure, right? You’ll probably end up with something amazing anyway. Those baked BBQ pork buns sound incredible.

Nah, you weren't missing anything amazing. Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground area is pretty much a wasteland when it comes to street food. It's all about the atmosphere inside the stadium, that's for sure. Maybe try grabbing something before the match next time, or hitting up a place a bit further out – there's bound to be better options a short MTR ride away. The area's more residential than a bustling food scene, unfortunately.

Yeah, that makes sense. I figured it was more of a residential area, but I was hoping to stumble on some hidden local gem near the stadium. Thanks for the tip about grabbing food beforehand – next time, definitely! Any recommendations for good eats near a station a short MTR ride away? I'm open to suggestions!
