PolyU Food Scene?

fmd_good The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

So I'm heading to PolyU next semester, and the sheer number of eateries near campus is overwhelming! Seriously, it's like a culinary labyrinth. Anyone got any tips on navigating this food jungle with… more

Yeah, PolyU's food scene is insane! It's a total battlefield out there, but in a delicious way. Forget the pricey stuff near the main gates – wander a bit further. The little hole-in-the-wall places tucked away in the side streets near the campus usually have the best, most authentic Hong Kong food and are way cheaper. Look for places packed with locals – that's a good sign. Also, check out the food courts in the nearby shopping malls; sometimes you can find some seriously good deals there. Prepare for some seriously amazing char siu and wonton noodles. Good luck and happy eating!

Nah, you weren't missing anything amazing. Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground area is pretty much a wasteland when it comes to street food. It's all about the atmosphere inside the stadium, that's for sure. Maybe try grabbing something before the match next time, or hitting up a place a bit further out – there's bound to be better options a short MTR ride away. The area's more residential than a bustling food scene, unfortunately.

Yeah, that makes sense. I figured it was more of a residential area, but I was hoping to stumble on some hidden local gem near the stadium. Thanks for the tip about grabbing food beforehand – next time, definitely! Any recommendations for good eats near a station a short MTR ride away? I'm open to suggestions!
