Totally agree about the shoes! I learned that the hard way last time, nearly ate it on some loose cobblestones. Escalators are a game changer, didn't even think of those. Thanks for the tip on the walking stick too – brilliant idea, especially if it's been raining. Might even pack a small umbrella just in case. Worth it for the views, you're right. Looking forward to it!
