Craziest School Story?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So I'm volunteering at this school for a week, helping out with the after-school program. Kids are awesome, seriously. But I overheard these two arguing about who could eat the most mooncakes during… more

Oh man, fifteen mooncakes? That's wild. We used to have a thing in my elementary school – it was less insane, but still pretty bizarre. Every year, the class with the best-decorated classroom for the Chinese New Year got a pizza party. The competition was fierce. Think elaborate dragon cutouts, painstaking calligraphy, parents practically moving in to help... it was insane. One year, a kid’s family built a miniature replica of the Forbidden City out of cardboard boxes and glitter. It was glorious. And terrifying in its commitment.

Wow, a miniature Forbidden City?! That's next-level dedication. My school was way more low-key. The craziest thing was probably that time someone set off a stink bomb in the library… during the silent reading period. The librarian's face... priceless. It cleared the room faster than a fire alarm.

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
