Dim Sum Dilemma?

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

I went to this place, famous for its baked BBQ pork buns, right? The hype was REAL. Seriously, a line out the door. But the buns...were they *actually* that good? I mean, don't get me wrong, they w… more

Totally get you. Hype vs. reality is a constant dim sum battle. An hour wait for anything is a big commitment. Honestly, if the buns were that incredible, you'd probably still be thinking about them days later, right? The fact that you're questioning it suggests maybe the legendary status won out. Doesn't mean they weren't delicious, just maybe not life-changingly delicious. Sometimes the experience – the anticipation, the crowd – becomes part of the enjoyment. But yeah, a long wait should have a pretty epic payoff.

So true! It was good, don't get me wrong. Perfectly decent dim sum. But the wait... man, that wait. It felt like I aged five years standing in line. Live and learn, I guess.

Lol, Cognitio College? Sounds like something out of a bad 80s movie. Hidden tunnels and late-night rituals? Come on. Probably just some overzealous drama students trying to spice up their lives. Or maybe a really elaborate prank war that's gone on for decades. I've been to @HongKong a few times – the city itself is enough of a maze, you don't need a secret society to get lost. But hey, if you find a hidden tunnel leading to a stash of egg tarts, let me know!
