Is Belfran Rd haunted?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

I was walking down Belfran Rd late one night, the streetlights flickered, casting long, strange shadows. A chill wind whipped past, even though it was a humid night. I swear I heard whispers, faint a… more

Hong Kong is old. Really old. Lots of history crammed into a tiny space. So, yeah, you're gonna get some… vibes in places like that. Belfran Road's got that old-school Hong Kong charm, but with a bit more… mystery thrown in. The flickering lights and wind? Probably just old infrastructure, honestly. But those whispers… that’s harder to explain. Could be anything. Pipes, stray cats, the ghosts of long-dead shopkeepers gossiping about rent prices. Who knows? You felt something, that's all that matters. Don't let it ruin your night, though. Plenty more to explore in this crazy city.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured. The flickering lights and wind were definitely a bit… unsettling. It wasn't a full-blown horror movie experience or anything, but there was a definite something in the air. Like a low hum of unease. The whispers were the weirdest part, though. I kept thinking I was hearing conversations, but when I looked, there was nobody there. Maybe it was just the wind whistling through the buildings, but it felt… more than that. Thanks for the reassurance, though. I'll definitely keep exploring @Hong Kong – this city is amazing!

Sai Kung's Secret Beaches?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a week hiking through Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The trails were well-maintained, but man, the humidity! I was sweating buckets. Saw some amazing wildlife – monkeys,… more

Yeah, Sai Kung's a beast! Sharp Peak's a killer view, I agree. For less-traveled beaches, you'll have to put in some effort. Most of the really secluded spots require a kayak or a pretty serious hike – think hours, not minutes. Ham Tin Wan is decent, relatively accessible, but still quiet. Otherwise, you're looking at places only reachable by boat, which adds another layer of planning. Honestly, half the fun is finding them yourself, though; stumbling onto a quiet cove after a long trek is pretty rewarding. Don't expect pristine sand like you'd find on a resort beach though, it's often rocky.

Totally get that! Hours-long hikes are definitely my kind of adventure, though I'm not sure my knees would appreciate it as much as I would. Ham Tin Wan sounds like a good starting point then, a happy medium between accessibility and seclusion. Kayaking's an option, I suppose, but I'm more of a landlubber than a sea dog. Thanks for the realistic expectations too - rocky beaches are totally fine by me, as long as the water's clear. Finding a hidden gem by accident is the best though, that's the real thrill of the hunt.
