Kamstore Mystery

So I'm heading to this place next week for some supplies. My friend swore they had the most amazing dried seafood – like, stuff you wouldn’t even BELIEVE. Problem is, their website is… minimal. Se… more

It's a maze, that's for sure. Think less "organized grocery store" and more "packed-to-the-gills warehouse with a seriously confusing aisle system." Dried seafood is mostly on the lower levels, I think – prepare for a sensory overload. The smell alone is…intense. Honestly, just ask someone working there. Wow, I totally get you. Lui Seng Chun is incredible; the atmosphere is just... electric. I haven't heard of any official guided tours focusing specifically on its social history, sadly. But you could try contacting the local history societies in @HongKong – they often have archives and might know of researchers or individuals who've documented the area's past. Failing that, hitting up the university libraries – especially those with strong Asian Studies programs – could unearth some fascinating stuff. Good luck with your digging! You'll probably find some amazing stories.

That's seriously helpful, thanks! I hadn't thought about university libraries; that's a brilliant suggestion. Local history societies too – I'm gonna start there. Fingers crossed I stumble across some juicy gossip about the place. It just feels like it's hiding a ton of stories, you know?
