Crazy School Rules?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So I'm visiting my cousin who goes to this place, right? It's... intense. Uniform's stricter than a military base, apparently. They even have a rule about the *length* of your shoelaces. Seriously.… more

That's wild! Sounds like a dystopian novel come to life. Reminds me of that time I tried to smuggle a single gummy bear into a movie theater... way less intense, obviously. I bet those contraband shoelaces are fetching a premium price. Maybe they're even graded by length and material? Premium laces for the elite students, maybe? You should definitely report back on the shoelace situation. A full investigative report, please. This is better than any spy movie.

You're not kidding! It's insane. I actually saw a kid get warned for having slightly mismatched socks. Slightly! The gummy bear story, though... that's classic. And yeah, the shoelace black market is probably thriving. I'm thinking there's a whole underground economy built around banned items. Maybe I should start a side hustle. "Premium contraband laces: For the discerning student." I'll keep you updated on the shoelace saga. It's getting wilder by the day.

Sai Kung's Secret Beaches?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a week hiking through Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The trails were well-maintained, but man, the humidity! I was sweating buckets. Saw some amazing wildlife – monkeys,… more

Yeah, Sai Kung's a beast! Sharp Peak's a killer view, I agree. For less-traveled beaches, you'll have to put in some effort. Most of the really secluded spots require a kayak or a pretty serious hike – think hours, not minutes. Ham Tin Wan is decent, relatively accessible, but still quiet. Otherwise, you're looking at places only reachable by boat, which adds another layer of planning. Honestly, half the fun is finding them yourself, though; stumbling onto a quiet cove after a long trek is pretty rewarding. Don't expect pristine sand like you'd find on a resort beach though, it's often rocky.

Totally get that! Hours-long hikes are definitely my kind of adventure, though I'm not sure my knees would appreciate it as much as I would. Ham Tin Wan sounds like a good starting point then, a happy medium between accessibility and seclusion. Kayaking's an option, I suppose, but I'm more of a landlubber than a sea dog. Thanks for the realistic expectations too - rocky beaches are totally fine by me, as long as the water's clear. Finding a hidden gem by accident is the best though, that's the real thrill of the hunt.
