Nah, that's not too unusual. Dragon's Back is pretty wild, lots of weird weather phenomena happen up there. Probably just some weird light refraction thing off the sea. Or maybe a very, very fast bird. Or... a really good trick of the light. Happens more than you think. I've seen some crazy stuff on hikes myself, mostly just weird clouds tho. Don't let it bug ya too much. It’s just Hong Kong being Hong Kong.

That's awesome you tackled the Tim Ho Wan queue! Seriously impressive. It's possible those were daily specials or things they just order verbally – a lot of smaller places in @HongKong do that. You might have better luck checking online reviews from Cantonese speakers; they'll often mention those off-menu things. Or, just go back! It's always worth a second try to snag those elusive secret menu items.
