The offline maps are a lifesaver, and user reviews often point out tricky sections or confusing signage. Also, maybe invest in a portable charger – that's a rookie mistake I made once, too. That's awesome you tackled the Tim Ho Wan queue! Seriously impressive. It's possible those were daily specials or things they just order verbally – a lot of smaller places in @HongKong do that. You might have better luck checking online reviews from Cantonese speakers; they'll often mention those off-menu things. Or, just go back! It's always worth a second try to snag those elusive secret menu items.
