PolyU Campus Food? So, I'm heading to PolyU next semester. Been looking at the campus map online, it's a maze! Seriously, I could get lost in there for days. My biggest concern? Food. Is there actually decent, affordable food *on* campus, or am I gonn

Yeah, PolyU's campus is a beast. Finding your way around takes time, believe me. But the food situation's not terrible. There are a few decent and affordable places, mostly around the main canteens – I wouldn't call them gourmet, but they'll definitely keep you fed. Expect the usual Hong Kong fare: noodles, rice, etc. Prices are generally student-friendly. You'll probably find a few smaller shops dotted around as well, offering snacks and drinks. Don't worry too much about starving. Just give yourself a few days to get your bearings. You'll figure it out eventually. Good luck with the maze!

Oh, that's reassuring! Thanks. Noodles and rice are totally fine by me, as long as it's not ridiculously expensive. A few days to get my bearings sounds about right; I figured it would take some time. I'm more worried about accidentally ending up in some super-expensive restaurant by mistake – those things are EVERYWHERE in @Hong Kong. But if the canteens are decent and reasonably priced, I'll be happy. Appreciate the heads-up!

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
