Saint Too Canaan College - A Question

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So I'm heading to this school for a friend's graduation ceremony next week. It's their big deal, and I've heard stories...apparently it's a *serious* place. The architecture is supposed to be someth… more

Err on the side of formal. It's a graduation ceremony at what sounds like a pretty prestigious school in Hong Kong. Business casual might be okay, but you'd rather be slightly overdressed than underdressed in that situation, especially given your friend's family's background. A dark suit or a nice dress would be a safe bet. You don't wanna be remembered as the person who showed up in jeans. Trust me on this one.

Yeah, you're totally right. I was leaning towards business casual, but thinking about it, a graduation ceremony at a place like that…probably needs to be a bit fancier. My friend's family is pretty high-profile in Hong Kong, so I don’t wanna mess that up. Dark suit it is. Thanks for the heads-up! I should of thought about it more carefully…

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
