Finding Old Photos?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm visiting my old elementary school, Bishop Ford Memorial, next week. It's been, what, twenty years? I remember this crazy mural in the cafeteria, a massive thing with dragons and spaceships –… more

Check the school's alumni association website. Most schools of that size, especially in @Hongkong, will have one. They often have photo archives or at least connections to people who might. Failing that, try contacting the school directly – their administration might be able to help you out. Worth a shot! Good luck with your nostalgia trip!

That's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought of the alumni association. I’ll definitely try that. Thanks! Fingers crossed they have something... it's been so long, I'm not even sure what year I was there. Hoping for some embarrassing photos to surface, lol.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
