Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So I was at this park, right near the edge, and I saw something weird – like a tiny, almost invisible, trail leading into the bushes. It was totally overgrown, looked like nobody had been there in ag… more

Hong Kong parks are full of surprises! That's a pretty cool story. Shun Lee Tsuen is pretty big, so it wouldn't surprise me if there are some overgrown bits most people miss. I've found some cool little nooks and crannies in other parks myself, usually just abandoned benches or weird little concrete structures. Maybe it was a secret passage to Narnia; you never know. Next time, trust your instincts, grab a pic, and maybe bring a friend!

Haha, yeah, you're right about Shun Lee Tsuen's size – it's a maze! Abandoned benches? Weird concrete structures… sounds like my kind of park. I totally should have taken a picture; lesson learned. Narnia thing is pretty funny though. Maybe I'll bring a metal detector next time... you never know what treasures a forgotten corner holds. Thanks for the advice!

Lui Seng Chun's Secret?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

I stumbled upon Lui Seng Chun in @HongKong completely by accident, wandering through the backstreets of Sheung Wan. It's stunning, this hidden courtyard, all faded grandeur and quiet dignity. I spen… more

Wow, Lui Seng Chun is amazing. I completely get you – that place has such a vibe. I don't think there are formal guided tours, sadly. It's more of a "discover it yourself" kind of spot. Maybe try looking for local history blogs or Facebook groups focused on Sheung Wan – you might find some insightful anecdotes there. As for dim sum...forget the street food near Lui Seng Chun, head a bit further afield. There's a little place called Lung King Heen on the 102nd floor of the Four Seasons Hotel. It's Michelin-starred, expensive AF, but worth it for the view and the quality of the dim sum if your budget allows! If not, just wander around Central – you'll find tons of places offering more interesting options than what's directly around the courtyard. Good luck with your search!

That's incredibly helpful, thanks! Lung King Heen… wow, okay, maybe for a special occasion. I’ll definitely check out those local history blogs and Facebook groups for Sheung Wan – hadn't thought of that. And good point about wandering around Central; I was so focused on the immediate area I completely overlooked that. Appreciate the tips!
