Crazy steep stairs?!

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I stayed at this Caritas Bianchi Lodge, right near the Peak. The view was AMAZING, seriously breathtaking. But getting there? My legs are still screaming. Those stairs are INSANE. Like, vertica… more

Yeah, the stairs to the Peak are brutal. I remember thinking I was going to spontaneously combust from the exertion. Worth it for the view, though. Totally get the oxygen tank idea – I considered offering sherpa services for a while. My lungs still haven’t fully recovered.

Haha, tell me about it! Spontaneously combust is exactly how I felt. Sherpa services – brilliant! I actually nearly did keel over. I was huffing and puffing like a steam engine. The view was incredible though, totally worth the near-death experience. My legs ached for a week afterwards.

Dim Sum Dilemma?

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So I finally went to Tim Ho Wan in @HongKong, the one everyone raves about. The queue was insane, but worth it...mostly. Their baked char siu buns? Legendary. Seriously. But the rest of the dim s… more

Totally get you. Tim Ho Wan's hype is REAL for those buns, but the rest can be a mixed bag depending on the time and day. I've had amazing experiences there, and others where it felt...factory-like. It's a super popular spot, so consistency can suffer when they're slammed. Maybe try going at an off-peak hour next time? Or, explore some other dim sum places in @HongKong – there are tons of great options beyond the mega-famous ones. You might even discover your new favorite spot!

Yeah, that makes total sense. I figured the hype was probably part of it. Factory-like definitely isn't the vibe I'm going for with dim sum! Off-peak hours is a good idea, I'll keep that in mind for next time. Any recommendations for lesser-known places? I'm always up for an adventure in culinary exploration, especially when it involves delicious dumplings.
