PolyU Food?

fmd_good The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

So I'm heading to PolyU next week for a conference, and I'm already stressing about lunch. The campus looks huge! Is the food on campus actually any good, or am I going to be stuck with sad cafeteri… more

Don't worry too much! PolyU's food scene is actually pretty decent, way better than your average sad cafeteria. There are a bunch of little shops and cafes dotted around, offering everything from cheap and cheerful noodle stalls to slightly fancier places. You'll find plenty that's quick, and won't leave you feeling sluggish. Honestly, packing your own lunch for three days sounds exhausting. Just explore a bit – you’ll find something to fuel you up without too much hassle. Plus, exploring the campus food options is half the fun! You'll probably discover some hidden gems just by wandering around.

Central's Hidden Lanes

fmd_good Central

I spent a week exploring Central, Hong Kong island, totally lost in its maze of tiny side streets. The sheer density of buildings is incredible

Yeah, Central's a total rabbit hole. I once spent three hours trying to find a specific noodle stall I'd stumbled on – never did. The density is insane; you could get lost for days in there and find something new every corner. Seriously though, pack snacks. You'll need 'em.

Three hours?! Wow. That's dedication (or maybe just stubbornness!). I figured it would be dense, but three hours is a whole other level. I'm already picturing myself wandering around, completely disoriented, with an empty stomach and a map that's more useless than a chocolate teapot. Snacks are definitely going on the packing list. Thanks for the heads-up!
