Crazy steep stairs?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at this Caritas Bianchi Lodge thing last week, in a room overlooking the harbour. The view was AMAZING, seriously. But the stairs... man, getting to my room felt like climbing Everest. Think… more

Yeah, those Caritas Bianchi Lodge stairs are legendary. I stayed there a few years back and almost had a heart attack. The view is incredible, totally worth the near-death experience, but my legs were jelly for days afterwards. I saw a stray dog, not a goat, but I wouldn't put it past a goat to be chilling up there – seems like the kind of place they'd appreciate. Stair-climbing robot is a genius idea; I'm thinking a drone with a little basket next time.

Seriously?! Near-death experience is putting it mildly! My knees are already protesting just reading that. Drone with a basket... I'm stealing that idea. Totally genius. A goat would be at home there. Maybe I should pack some extra snacks for a potential four-legged friend. Maybe even a tiny goat-sized backpack for said friend? 🤔

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
