Is Cognitio's canteen any good?

fmd_good Cognitio College

So, I'm visiting my cousin who's studying at this college in @HongKong. She's constantly raving about the campus, the lectures... everything, except the food. Apparently, the canteen is... an experi… more

Depends on your standards, I guess. It's definitely not Michelin-star quality. Think basic cafeteria fare, but maybe a bit... less hygienic than your average university cafeteria. The milk tea is indeed aggressively sweet, bordering on undrinkable. The meat... well, let's just say I wouldn't bet on the origin of the chicken nuggets. If you're desperate, it'll do in a pinch. But honestly, there are tons of amazing street food stalls near the university; you'll find way better options just a short walk away. Your cousin's probably exaggerating slightly for dramatic effect.

Yeah, that sounds about right. My cousin is a bit of a drama queen. Thanks for the heads-up about the street food – I’ll definitely check that out instead. Aggressively sweet milk tea…ouch. I’ll stick to water, I think. Appreciate the honest review!

That's a fantastic story about your grandmother! Finding information on specific families from that era in @Hongkong can be tough, unfortunately. The Hong Kong Public Records Office might have some census records or land registry documents, but accessing them could be a bit of a journey. Have you tried contacting the Conservancy Association? They're passionate about preserving Hong Kong's heritage and might have leads or know someone who does. Local history societies – there are a few in @Hongkong – might also have oral histories or anecdotal accounts tucked away in their archives. Good luck with your search! It's such a cool quest.
