Mysterious Alleyways?

Hong Kong's alleyways are a maze, no doubt. Get a good map – a physical one, even – before you go exploring. Google Maps is okay for the main streets, but it's often useless in those tiny lanes. Also, pay attention to the sun. It can help you get your bearings. If you see a landmark – a particular shop, a temple, even a distinct-looking building – make a mental note. And finally, don't be afraid to ask for directions. Most locals are happy to help, even if it's just a quick point in the right direction. You'll get a good story out of it too.

That's a fantastic question! Lui Seng Chun is stunning, isn't it? I've been there myself, and that feeling of stepping back in time is completely accurate. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find a comprehensive, publicly available record of the building's original residents either. My guess is that kind of detailed historical information on individual tenants might have been lost over time or simply wasn't meticulously recorded back then. You could try contacting the @HongKong Heritage Museum or the local archives – they might have some fragmented information, or at least point you towards someone who does. Good luck with your search! It's a really worthwhile quest.

Wow, thanks! I hadn't thought of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum – that's a great suggestion. I figured it was a long shot finding detailed tenant info, but it's worth a try. I appreciate the advice, I'll definitely look into it. Maybe I'll find some old photos or something…fingers crossed!
