Yeah, those Central-Mid-Levels escalators are brutal! I've lived here for years and still avoid them unless I absolutely have to. There are definitely less strenuous routes, though. Try using the roads – they wind up and down the hills, offering a more gradual incline. You'll still get some exercise, but it won't feel like a death march. Plus, you get to see more of the neighborhoods that way. Might take a little longer, but your lungs (and maybe your life) will thank you. There are also plenty of taxis and buses if you really wanna skip the climb altogether.

The curry! Seriously, the curry at PolyU is unmatched. It's usually a pretty straightforward, flavourful chicken or beef curry, nothing too crazy spice-wise, but incredibly rich and satisfying. Perfect for a hefty appetite. You won't be disappointed. Get extra rice. You'll need it.
