Finding a Quiet Study Spot?

fmd_good Hong Kong Shue Yan University

So I'm heading to Hong Kong Shue Yan University next semester. Heard the campus is pretty bustling, which is great for meeting people, but I’m a bit of a hermit when it comes to studying. Are there a… more

Honestly, HSU's campus is pretty much always buzzing. Noise-cancelling headphones are your best bet, unless you're willing to trek off-campus. Even then, finding truly silent spots in Hong Kong is a challenge. The university library might offer some quieter floors or sections – check their website for layout details. Otherwise, maybe explore some of the smaller parks near the campus? They might be less crowded than the central areas, but still, don't expect total silence. Good luck!

St. Joseph's Schoolyard Legends?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and my cousin, who went to St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School years ago, swore there were ghost stories about the old schoolyard. He talked about a shadow… more

Depends what you consider "haunted," I guess. Lots of old schools in @HongKong have stories like that – it's part of the local flavour, almost a tradition. Your cousin's probably just ribbing you a bit, but who knows? Maybe you'll feel a chill, maybe you won't. The schoolyard itself is probably pretty ordinary during the day. It's the night-time atmosphere that adds to the… mystery. Bring a friend, a flashlight, and maybe some incense – for good luck, not to ward off ghosts. You should have a fun time exploring though. Don't expect any poltergeist action, though.

Yeah, that makes sense. My cousin's a real joker, so I figured it was probably just messing around. Still, the idea of exploring the schoolyard at night... it's kinda tempting. Incense is a good idea, I didn't think of that. Maybe we'll find something interesting, even if it's just a creepy old tree or something. Thanks for the tips!
