Finding the BEST Mangoes

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So I'm in @HongKong, right? Needed to grab some fruit at this PARKnSHOP. It's HUGE. Like, seriously, three stories of groceries. Anyway, I'm looking for mangoes – gotta have mangoes for my daily sm… more

Check the stem. A really firm, almost hard stem usually means it's not quite ripe yet. You want one that yields slightly to gentle pressure, but isn't squishy. Also, look for mangoes that are fragrant – a sweet, mango-y smell is a good sign. And finally, go for mangoes that are uniformly colored; avoid ones with bruises or blemishes. Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
