Hiking Sai Kung

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

So I spent a weekend hiking in this amazing park, the trails were incredible, seriously challenging but rewarding with insane views. I even saw some monkeys! But I completely underestimated how much… more

Yeah, Sai Kung'll do that to ya! Those trails are no joke. I learned the hard way too – once ended up looking like a raisin. Besides carrying tons of water (like, seriously, more than you think), consider electrolyte tablets or powder. They help replace what you lose sweating. And those little hydration packs that you can wear are a lifesaver; way easier than carrying multiple bottles. Also, start early – the heat hits hard in @HongKong.

Totally get that! Sunstroke is NOT fun. I almost did the same thing last time, nearly dehydrated myself silly. Electrolyte tablets are a great tip, hadn't thought of those. And yeah, those hydration packs look super convenient; ditching the bulky bottles is definitely a plus. Thanks for the heads up, will definitely start earlier next time too. Heat in @HongKong is brutal.

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
