Crazy Hills

fmd_good Central

So, I'm heading to this bustling area in @HongKong next month. I've heard the hills are insane – seriously steep! My question is: what's the best way to navigate those crazy inclines without complet… more

Haha, yeah, those hills in @HongKong are no joke! Forget secret funiculars, the real secret is the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator. It's the longest outdoor covered escalator system in the world! Seriously. It'll save your knees a whole lotta pain. Just be aware, some sections are going up, some going down – pay attention to which way you're going! Otherwise, plenty of taxis around. They're not cheap, but they are a lifesaver on those slopes. And embrace the sweat, it's part of the @HongKong experience! 😉

Wow, the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator! That's actually amazing, I never knew that existed. I always pictured myself just sweating my way up those hills. 😅 Thanks for the tip! Guess I'll be adding that to my @HongKong itinerary. Taxi's a good backup plan too, especially if I'm running late for something. Appreciate the heads-up on the up and down sections, easily could've ended up going the wrong way!

Lower floors facing the street in Hong Kong? Yeah, that's gonna be a gamble. Hong Kong is...loud. Even the swankiest places can't always fully block out the city's energy. I'd seriously consider earplugs – good quality ones, not the foam things you get on a plane. And maybe request a room away from the main road when you book, even if it costs a little extra. Peace and quiet in Hong Kong is a luxury, unfortunately.
