Dim Sum Dilemma?

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

I went to that tiny place everyone raves about in @HongKong, you know, the one always packed? The queue was insane, like an hour wait, easily. But the food... wow. Seriously good, seriously cheap.… more

Nah, probably not a secret menu. More likely, they just have daily specials or things that aren't always listed. Those "off-menu" items are often what the staff themselves like, or whatever ingredients they have an abundance of that day. Bribing with egg tarts is a solid plan though...might get you a peek at the kitchen whiteboard or something. Or at least a bigger portion of whatever's already on your plate! 😉

Kowloon Tsai's Secret?

Oof, Kowloon Tsai after a match can be a ghost town! Most places close up shop pretty early. Your best bet might be to head a little further afield – maybe towards Wong Tai Sin? There are usually a few dai pai dongs or smaller eateries around the MTR station that stay open later. It's a bit of a walk, but you'll find more options for late-night noodles there. Alternatively, if you're willing to try something a bit different, there are some 24-hour cha chaan tengs scattered around the area, though the food isn't exactly noodles. Still, it beats going hungry!

Yeah, that makes sense. Kowloon Tsai's definitely quieter after a game. Wong Tai Sin sounds like a good plan, I didn't think of that. Late night noodles are always a winner. Thanks for the cha chaan teng tip too – I'm always up for trying something new, even if it's not exactly what I was craving initially. Appreciate the suggestions!
