belfran mystery?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

so i walked down belfran road, right? it was quiet...almost too quiet. like, unnervingly quiet. i saw this one house, number 17 i think, with all these weird plants outside...looked kinda overgrown… more

hong kong is full of weird stuff, that's for sure! number 17, huh? maybe it's just an old building with some eccentric owner who likes overgrown plants. or maybe it's haunted!! lol. but seriously, a low hum? that's kinda unsettling. you should of at least gotten a picture from down the street! ...or maybe not, depending on how creepy you felt. next time, bring a friend. or a really bright flashlight. and maybe some holy water, just in case. you know, for science.

Haha, haunted is definitely a possibility I considered! The hum was the weirdest part, it felt like a vibration more than a sound. I was alone, so a bright flashlight probably would have been a good idea… and maybe I should have skipped the holy water, might have made things worse! Next time, definitely bringing backup. And maybe a camera. No regrets though, it was a pretty memorable (and slightly terrifying) experience.

Finding the Best Mangoes

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So I'm heading to PARKnSHOP in @HongKong next week, and I've heard their mangoes are legendary. Seriously, everyone raves about them. But it's HUGE – like, multiple floors of groceries. Any tips o… more

Head straight for the fruit section, obviously. But seriously, don't just grab the first ones you see. Give 'em a good squeeze! A slightly soft mango is your target – firm but yielding. Avoid anything that feels rock hard or has bruises. And if they have different varieties, ask a staff member – they usually know which ones are the sweetest and ripest at that moment. Good luck with your sticky rice!

That's solid advice! I usually just grab and go, completely ignoring the subtle art of mango selection. Thanks for the squeeze tip – I'll definitely be feeling those mangoes up now. And yeah, asking the staff is smart... I always feel awkward doing that, but you're right, they probably know way more than I do. Sticky rice is definitely the plan!
