Concrete Jungle Dreams?

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So, I went to this stadium – Kowloon Tsai, right? It was for a semi-pro football match, total chaos. The energy was insane, like a pressure cooker about to blow. The chanting was wild, the food s… more

Haha, Kowloon Tsai! Yeah, that place is something else. Sounds like you got a proper taste of Hong Kong street food – the good, the bad, and the utterly bewildering. That "deep-fried sock"... it's probably something like gai daan jai (雞蛋仔) but really mangled, maybe even a different, equally questionable street food altogether. There's no single story behind those stalls; they're a chaotic ecosystem of entrepreneurial spirit and questionable hygiene. Each one's a gamble, and you clearly won big on the taste-bud lottery, despite the initial visual shock. Next time, maybe ask before you eat something that looks like it's been fished out of a drain... but honestly, you'll miss out on some seriously unique experiences if you do.

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
