PolyU Mystery?

fmd_good The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

So, I was wandering around campus – beautiful place, seriously. Saw this amazing little courtyard tucked away, totally hidden. It felt ancient, like it held some secret. I spent ages just sitting t… more

That's awesome! PolyU's got some seriously cool hidden spots. I've been going there for years and still stumble across new things. The stylized dragon...hmm, maybe it's related to one of the clans that helped build the campus or something? Or even just a random design element from a specific architectural period. Honestly, your best bet is probably checking out the PolyU archives or contacting their history department. They might have old blueprints, photographs, or even student theses that mention it. Good luck with your detective work! Let us know what you find out.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
