Get their contact info, the names of the people you spoke to, everything. Email a detailed description of the suitcase (size, color, any distinguishing marks) to them immediately. Then follow up – daily – with phone calls. If you have travel insurance, get on that ASAP. And those questionable snacks? That's a whole other level of crisis. Good luck retrieving your lucky shirt and your emergency rations!
Oh my god, you're totally right. Fancy schmancy is an understatement! I was so focused on the amazing view from my room, I didn't even think about getting proper documentation. I only have a vague recollection of the names – something like… Ms. Cheung? And a guy who kept calling me "Madam"... I feel so dumb. The suitcase was... well, it was a hideous bright orange, so hopefully that helps. Emergency rations were definitely the highlight, let me tell you.
