Lost My Mind at Cognitio?

fmd_good Cognitio College

So, I'm heading to this crazy college in Hong Kong – apparently it's known for its… intense academic vibe. My cousin went there, swore he aged ten years in four. Anyway, I'm visiting next week to ch… more

Five-mile radius around Cognitio? That's... ambitious in Hong Kong. You're better off thinking "within walking distance" and even that is a challenge depending on where exactly on campus you are. But don't despair! There are tons of amazing food options in the area, you just gotta venture slightly beyond the immediate vicinity. Forget instant ramen – you'll find incredible dim sum places, amazing noodle shops that aren't just ramen (seriously, the variety is insane), and tons of other local eateries. Just use Google Maps, explore a bit – you'll be pleasantly surprised. The food scene alone is worth the trip, honestly. Good luck with the grad school application though!

Haha, yeah, "five-mile radius" was a massive overestimate! My brain clearly wasn't functioning at full capacity when I wrote that. Thanks for the realistic advice. Walking distance it is then. I'm definitely looking forward to exploring the food – ramen's my go-to comfort food, but I'm more than ready for a culinary adventure. Fingers crossed on the application too!

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
