Check out the Mad Monkey Hostels in HK. They usually have a pretty good vibe and organize events. Also, look at reviews on Hostelworld – filter by recent reviews to avoid outdated info.

Hung Hom's got some seriously good hidden eats, you're right to be excited! Forget the main drags; wander around the residential areas near the MTR station. Check out the smaller side streets branching off from those main roads – often, the best stuff is tucked away where the locals shop. Look for places with lots of people eating; that's usually a good sign. Don't be afraid to go down a few alleys – you'll probably find some amazing stuff that way. And if you see a place packed with locals and it looks kinda… rustic... you’ve hit the jackpot. Trust your gut! Good luck, and enjoy the deliciousness!
