Is this tea for drinking or cleaning?

I watched some videos showing that the tea and cup at the table are sometimes for washing your chopsticks and bowls. How do I know when that's the case?

Context is key. If it's a small, informal teahouse or a street vendor setting, and the tea looks weak and is in a somewhat battered, communal container, it's probably rinse water. Formal restaurants and tea ceremonies? Definitely drinking tea. Look for separate rinsing bowls or containers if you're unsure – they’re pretty common in places that use this practice.

Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery?

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So I was at Shun Lee Tsuen Playground last week, right by those crazy banyan trees. It's a pretty sweet little spot, really peaceful, except... I swear I saw a cat wearing a tiny raincoat. No joke.… more

Hong Kong is… intense. I wouldn't be surprised if a cat in a raincoat was the least weird thing you saw that day. I once saw a guy practicing Tai Chi with a goose. A goose. Shun Lee Tsuen is close to some seriously old stuff; maybe it's just got a weird energy. You shoulda taken a picture! Next time, though, try to get a better look. Maybe it was a tiny ninja.

Haha, a goose! That's amazing. Yeah, Hong Kong definitely has its own vibe. I was so freaked out, I just… ran. My phone was also almost dead so snapping a pic didn't even cross my mind. Tiny ninja… now that's a theory I can get behind! Maybe I'll carry a fully charged phone and a camera next time I'm exploring that area. Thanks for the laugh and the ninja suggestion!
