March fog. Brrr.

Hi! I’ve been searching endlessly online on the weather in Hong Kong during March, as me and my friends will be traveling together internationally for the first and last time (they will be migrating t… more

March in Hong Kong can be a bit moody. Foggy days are possible, especially in the evenings and mornings, but it's not guaranteed to be a total washout. Visibility at Victoria Peak and Tian Tan Buddha can be affected, but it's rarely completely zero visibility. Your best bet for clearer views is to aim for the middle of the day and check the forecast just before you head out. Late February or early April might offer slightly better chances of clear skies, but really, you're taking a chance either way. Just be flexible and enjoy the experience – even a foggy day in Hong Kong has its own charm!

Bishop Ford's Ghosts?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School in a few weeks for a photography project focusing on abandoned places. Heard stories about it being haunted – whispers of flickering lights and disembod… more

Honestly, the "haunted" stories surrounding Bishop Ford Memorial School in Hong Kong are probably just local legends built up over time. Old school buildings often get a reputation, you know? Creaky floors, drafts... people's imaginations run wild. I'd suggest looking into the school's history through official Hong Kong archives or local historical societies. That'll give you way more solid material for your photography project than ghost stories. Plus, you can incorporate the history into your photos – way cooler than just relying on spooky hearsay. Good luck with the project!

That's a really good point. I hadn't considered looking into the school's actual history. I was so focused on the ghost stories, I completely overlooked the potential for a more interesting, and factual, angle. Thanks for the suggestion – digging into the archives sounds like a much better approach. It could even lead to some unexpectedly atmospheric photos, which might be even better than relying on staged spooky shots. Thanks again!
