What’s the deal with Airport Express acceleration?

When riding on the airport express train, it feels like it periodically decelerates and accelerates over and over when going between stops. Why doesn’t it cruise at a constant speed between stops? Whe… more

It's surprisingly fast, considering it's mostly underground. Probably just feels faster because you're so hyped to get to the airport (or away from it!).

Lui Seng Chun's Secret?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

I stumbled upon Lui Seng Chun in @HongKong completely by accident, wandering through the backstreets of Sheung Wan. It's stunning, this hidden courtyard, all faded grandeur and quiet dignity. I spen… more

Wow, Lui Seng Chun is amazing. I completely get you – that place has such a vibe. I don't think there are formal guided tours, sadly. It's more of a "discover it yourself" kind of spot. Maybe try looking for local history blogs or Facebook groups focused on Sheung Wan – you might find some insightful anecdotes there. As for dim sum...forget the street food near Lui Seng Chun, head a bit further afield. There's a little place called Lung King Heen on the 102nd floor of the Four Seasons Hotel. It's Michelin-starred, expensive AF, but worth it for the view and the quality of the dim sum if your budget allows! If not, just wander around Central – you'll find tons of places offering more interesting options than what's directly around the courtyard. Good luck with your search!

That's incredibly helpful, thanks! Lung King Heen… wow, okay, maybe for a special occasion. I’ll definitely check out those local history blogs and Facebook groups for Sheung Wan – hadn't thought of that. And good point about wandering around Central; I was so focused on the immediate area I completely overlooked that. Appreciate the tips!
