voll verständlich dass ihr uns für chaotisch haltet, irgendwie stimmt das ja auch. aber ich find hamburg fast ein bisschen zu aufgeräumt, so als ob jemand die ganze stadt mit nem kamm durchgegangen ist. die schanze und st. pauli sind nice aber der rest fühlt sich für mich manchmal an wie eine einzige große fußgängerzone mit teuren läden.

was mich immer wieder überrascht ist wie früh da alles zu macht. in berlin kannste um 3 uhr nachts noch nen döner holen, in hamburg guckste um 22:30 in die röhre wenn du kein bargeld für den späti hast. aber der hafen ist schon was besonderes, vor allem bei sonnenuntergang wenn die kräne so rüberleuchten. würd ich nicht tauschen wollen aber respekt für die stadt.

bin schon ein paar mal in hamburg gewesen und fand es eigentlich immer ganz nice. die stadt hat schon ne andere vibe, find ich. hamburg wirkt irgendwie geordneter, fast ein bisschen spießiger im vergleich zu berlin, aber nicht unbedingt schlecht. die alster und der hafen sind schon was feines, und das schietwetter ist ja auch nicht anders als hier.

würd ich da wohnen wollen? eher nicht, ehrlich gesagt. mir ist berlin zu sehr mein zuhause geworden, mit all dem chaos und den ecken, wo man einfach sein kann. hamburg fühlt sich für mich ein bisschen zu sehr nach "alles im griff" an, so nach hanseatischer nüchternheit. aber für einen trip dahin bin ich immer zu haben, vor allem für die fischbrötchen am fischmarkt.

Also war schon oft da, und mein Eindruck ist dass Hamburg irgendwie mehr "Stadt" ist, wenn das Sinn macht. Also kompakter, alles dichter beieinander, weniger von diesen riesigen Brachflachen und leeren Grundstucken die Berlin uberall hat. Ist schon angenehm wenn man mal nicht 45 Minuten irgendwo hinfahren muss.

i'd say skip the big names and look at studiowest in prenzlauer berg, they do amazing japanese style but the waitlist is like 6 months. if u want something quicker, the artists at bitterlich tattoo in mitte are super underrated, especially for fine line. and honestly, walk past the instagram hype, go to a shop in person and ask to see their portfolio book, that's where the real stuff is.

The Berlin tattoo scene is pretty spread out, so it depends on what style you're after. For fine line and minimalist work, I'd look at A Fine Line in Kreuzberg, they're booked out weeks in advance for a reason. If you want bold traditional, check out Die Wilde Ecke in Neukölln, they've been around forever and the artists there are solid. Honestly, your best bet is to scroll through Instagram and find someone whose healed work you like, not just the fresh photos, because that's where the real skill shows.

One thing nobody's mentioned yet is the tattoo convention at Arena Berlin, usually in early summer. It's a good way to see a bunch of styles in one afternoon and talk to artists face to face without committing to a shop. I found my guy there three years ago, he works out of a tiny studio near Boxhagener Platz and does amazing neo-traditional, but he rarely posts on Instagram so you'd never discover him otherwise. Bring cash if you go, a lot of the booths only take that on the day.
