Will BVG be great again in 2024?
tbh the M10's been a gamble since they changed the route through the Ringbahn station area, those switches are so worn they cause delays all day. if you're near a U-Bahn stop, the U8 usually runs smoother and gets you across town faster than waiting for a tram that might be a ghost. BVG's fine for the core lines but anything with "M" in front feels like a second class system right now
They've been saying "soon" on the Ringbahn for three years now, so I wouldn't hold your breath. The M10 specifically has been a disaster since they rerouted it, the old schedule was tighter. If you're doing that route regularly, the 200 bus runs parallel and is usually more predictable, even if it's slower.
The M10 has been a mess since they extended it past Warschauer, the headways just got worse. If you're near that line, the S75 or even the U5 might get you where you need to go faster, even with a transfer. BVG is fine for most routes but the tram lines that got stretched too far are really struggling.
