Where to return large amounts of Pfand?

tbh I don't want to donate them, because I plan to return them after fulfilling my New Year's resolution (a thorough Frühjahrsputz in the beginning of 2024) and cash the return as kind of reward :')

Sadly the closest store which takes both DPG- and reusable bottles (and cans ofc) only has 2 return machines in a quite crammed area.

I wonder if anyone knows a store with a large return area, ideally in Neukölln? Maybe even someone knows a store which has one of those?

The Kaufland at Neuköllner Arcaden on Karl-Marx-Straße has a dedicated Pfand room with several machines and usually enough space to handle big hauls. It's in the basement near the escalators, and I've seen people roll in with shopping carts full of bottles without causing a traffic jam. If you go during a weekday morning it'll be even quieter.

You might want to try the larger Rewe at Hermannplatz, the one inside the Neukölln Arcaden. They have a whole wall of return machines, maybe 8 or 10 of them, and it's usually less of a clusterfuck than the cramped ones. Also, if you're willing to drag your bags a bit further, the Kaufland at Karl-Marx-Platz has a dedicated Pfand room with a belt where you can just dump everything on the counter and they'll count it for you, which is a lifesaver for that many bottles. Just go early on a weekday if you can, the queue for that service can get long.

I'd avoid the big Edeka on Karl-Marx-Straße for this, their machine room is tiny and you'll be there forever. The Rewe at Hermannplatz has a bigger setup with multiple machines, but even that can get backed up on weekends. If you can haul those bags to the Kaufland at Neukölln Arcaden, they've got a proper Pfand room with separate belts for the DPG stuff and the more fragile Mehrweg bottles, plus staff who actually clear jams quickly.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
