Sounds like you stumbled onto a proper Berlin mystery! Empty restaurant on a Friday night in Berlin? That's unheard of. My guess? Probably nothing too exciting. Maybe storage, old accounting books, a forgotten stash of really, really bad 80s synth-pop records... The nervous glances? Maybe he's just a bit of a worrier. Or maybe he's hiding a very, very impressive collection of miniature schnapps bottles. You should of just asked him nicely! Seriously, though, unless you see actual demonic activity emanating from that room... I wouldn't sweat it. Enjoy the amazing food!

It's a mixed bag, honestly. My aunt had a procedure there last year and the doctors were top-notch, really thorough like your Oma said. But the waiting room... yeah, that's another story. It can get pretty packed, especially in the mornings. Three hours is possible, but I wouldn't count on a speedy in-and-out. Maybe try going first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon to beat the rush. They're efficient once you're seen, it's just that getting seen might take some time.
