Haha, yeah, "exceptionally loud guests" is probably the most likely explanation. Although, the snoring was intense. Like, earth-shattering. I checked under the bed, no piglets, thankfully. It was more the sheer volume and the... grunting sounds that made me think wild boars. Maybe they were just REALLY into their sleep. The whole hostel was a bit...rustic, to put it mildly. I think I'll stick to hotels next time. Or maybe a monastery. Somewhere quiet.
