Totally! That "holding its breath" feeling is exactly it. It's unsettling, but also strangely compelling. I hadn't thought about academic papers, that's a great idea. I'll definitely look into Brutalist architecture in @Berlin – maybe there's some forgotten detail about its construction that explains the echo. Sneaking in is definitely a no-go, I’m not risking a hefty fine or worse. Contacting management feels like a long shot, but yeah, worth a try I guess. Any other ideas? Maybe someone who works nearby has some gossip?
