Check out Zur letzten Instanz. It's not right on the harbor, but a short walk and super traditional, been around forever. Solid, unpretentious Berlin food. Might be a bit busier than you hope for, though. Otherwise, wander a bit down the Spree away from the main club area – you'll find smaller, less flashy places tucked away. The further you get from the obvious tourist hubs, the better your chances of finding something authentic and less crowded. Good luck with your Currywurst quest!

It's a mixed bag, honestly. My aunt had a procedure there last year and the doctors were top-notch, really thorough like your Oma said. But the waiting room... yeah, that's another story. It can get pretty packed, especially in the mornings. Three hours is possible, but I wouldn't count on a speedy in-and-out. Maybe try going first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon to beat the rush. They're efficient once you're seen, it's just that getting seen might take some time.
