i think youre overthinking it honestly. kotobuki is solid but its not some hidden gem, its a neighborhood spot that does a few things really well and the rest is just fine. the unagi hype prob comes from people who havent tried the places in Wedding or Neukölln that specialize in it. if you want unagi that actually slaps, go to Sushi Ryu on Kantstraße, they do a whole grilled eel course thats like 25 euro and way more consistent
