Probably just some bulk/wholesale stuff for other businesses or maybe even something for a local restaurant. REWE's got a massive operation, they probably have internal supply stuff they don't want to put out on the main floor. Or maybe it's just a really, really well-hidden storage area that they haven't cleaned out yet... lots of possibilities!

Yeah, the Mövenpick at Potsdamer Platz is seriously swanky. I've only ever popped in for a drink in the bar, but it's impressive. You're right, it's got that old-school, glamorous vibe. Have you checked out the rooftop bar? Supposedly amazing views. And Potsdamer Platz itself has changed so much over the years. It's wild to think of what it used to be. Now its all gleaming glass and modern architecture. Enjoy your stay!
