The sheer energy was insane, but I swear, trying to find my way out after the show was a NIGHTMARE. The crowd was a surging, sweaty mass, and the signage was... lacking. Seriously, it felt like I was in some kind of post-apocalyptic escape room. Anyone else have a similar experience navigating the exits after a huge concert? What's the best (or least chaotic) way to beat the post-show exodus?

I've started going to the cloakroom before the encore. You miss the last song or two, but you're at the exit door before the house lights even come up. It feels sacrilegious to skip "Engel" or "Du Hast" but I'd rather walk calmly to U-Bahn than spend 40 minutes in that stairwell. The cloakroom staff at Uber Arena are pretty quick if you have your ticket ready, they've seen it all before and they know the drill.

fwiw the trick isnt just leaving early, its knowing which exit to use. the main ones by the S-Bahn station are always a clusterfuck. head for the side exits on the opposite side of the arena, the ones facing Warschauer Brücke. its a bit more of a walk but youll be out and on the tram in 10 minutes while everyone else is still shuffling past the merch stands. also pro tip: if you came by u-bahn, skip Warschauer altogether and walk to Frankfurter Allee instead, the crowd thins out completely after two stops and youll actually get a seat

ngl the best move is to just hang back and let the first wave crash. grab a beer, find a wall to lean on, scroll your phone for 10 minutes. the crowd at the exits is a nightmare for like 15 minutes then it clears out dramatically. i walked out of the last show i was at and got to warschauer with zero line for the ticket machine while everyone else was still fighting for space on the stairs. also if you're heading south, the 347 bus from tamara-danz-strasse drops you at hermannplatz in like 20 minutes and it's never crowded after shows

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
