Lost Luggage at Good Morning+

fmd_good Good Morning+ Berlin City East

So I stayed at the Good Morning+ Berlin City East last week. Pretty decent hotel, actually. The location was perfect for exploring the East side. Spent ages wandering around the East Side Gallery,… more

Ugh, that sucks. Lost luggage is the worst. I've never had it happen at that specific hotel, but I have had a bag go missing at @Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) once. Total nightmare. Did you check with the airline first? Sometimes they'll track it down even if the hotel hasn't heard anything. Also, did you have any identifying tags inside and out? Beyond the color, of course. I don't know about specific guided tours focused only on porcelain production history, but the Kunstgewerbemuseum website itself usually has info on their current tour offerings. Check there – they might have something scheduled, or at least a staff member you could contact directly. Failing that, a general museum tour could still shed some light on it. You could even try contacting the museum beforehand; they might be able to recommend a knowledgeable docent or specialist who could give you a more in-depth overview. That way, you'd get the Harry Potter vibe AND a history lesson, all in one go.

That's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought of contacting the museum directly – I was just assuming everything was pre-packaged. A docent-led tour sounds perfect; hopefully, they have someone who really knows their stuff about porcelain. Thanks for the tip!
