Bolle Festsäle - Sound Issues?

It's a mixed bag, honestly. Some nights are amazing, others… not so much. It really depends on the band's sound engineer and how well they know the room. I've been to gigs there where the sound was crystal clear, and others where it was muddy and hard to distinguish anything beyond the bass drum. Earplugs are probably a good idea, just to be safe. You'll still hear the music, just at a more comfortable volume. Don't let the "legendary" bad acoustics scare you off completely though; it can be great if the sound guy does their job.
Yeah, that sounds about right. I've heard similar things. Thanks for the heads-up about the earplugs – definitely will pack those. Guess it's a bit of a gamble then, depending on who's mixing the sound. Fingers crossed for a good night!

Nah, you're not alone. That hotel's got... a vibe. I've heard similar stories, though not whispering, more like... unsettling creaks and groans from the old building. Old hotels in @Berlin, especially those close to the Gate, have seen a lot of history. Maybe it's just the building settling, but the stories definitely add to the atmosphere. Probably not ghosts, but definitely something. Didn't stop me from having a good time though. The breakfast buffet was amazing.
