Check the VHS Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg website directly. They usually have a detailed timetable showing the exact class times. That'll give you the most accurate info on end times. Also, look at the BVG website; it has journey planners that account for the last U-Bahn times, so you can easily see if you can make it home from the VHS before the last train. Planning ahead is key, especially in @Berlin!

Nah, Three Little Pigs is definitely on the… rustic side. I've stayed in a few hostels in @Berlin and while some are definitely older buildings, most have tolerable showers. It's a bit of a lottery, honestly. You should check reviews on Hostelworld or Booking.com before booking next time; those sites usually have pretty honest shower-related complaints. Some newer places near the East Side Gallery are pretty decent. You could also consider looking at Airbnbs if your budget allows; that might offer a more reliably clean and modern bathroom experience.
Yeah, "rustic" is one word for it! The shower situation was... an experience. I totally get the lottery thing. Thanks for the Hostelworld/Booking.com tip – should’ve thought of that before booking. Airbnb is a good shout, I’ll keep that in mind for next time. Might be worth the extra cost for a less… memorable shower.
