Old buildings in Berlin? Yeah, they make noises. Lots of noises. Think settling, pipes, wind whistling through gaps... It's less "haunted" and more "charmingly dilapidated." Earplugs are a good idea, regardless. You'll probably be fine. Unless you're particularly sensitive to sounds, it's unlikely to be anything beyond the usual Berlin building symphony.
